The recently-launched dashboard unveiled several potential reporting ideas. This week, we have decided to add two existing reports to the dashboard (soon due and overdue tasks), which were previously sent by email only. Furthermore, we added a brand new report called “Task to Start Soon”.
For those who didn’t know, the “Soon Due Tasks” report lists tasks with an estimated end date that is approaching (as defined in the account settings). The “Overdue Tasks” report lists tasks with an estimated end date that has passed (as defined in the account settings). The new report, “Tasks to Start Soon” lists tasks with an estimated start date that is approaching (the value used is the same as the “Soon Due Tasks” that is defined in the account settings).
We plan to add several new reports to the dashboard, so stay tuned!
This may be off the topic but I wanted to pose a question regarding the calendar feature in Ace.
Are there any plans to offer a free form (manual) data entry into the calendar? It would be a great way to enter information regarding personnel on vacation, traveling, attending training, etc… basically integrating non project related events.
We as a company struggle to find a way of tracking where everyone will be on a week to week basis with field personnel in two states. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Hello Mike,
At the current time, there are no immediate plans along those lines. There have been some discussions regarding the integration with third-party calendar applications which do support events such as what you mentioned here (Google Calendar, for example). However, once again, there is nothing definitive on the road map.
Thank you for using AceProject!
