AceProject allows you to create project statuses in 3 main categories:
- The “Waiting” category: Statuses in the “Waiting” type are used when no work has yet been performed on the project. A status in this category could, for instance, be created for projects that are still under analysis and for which no green light has yet been given.
- The “In Progress” category: A project should be set in an “In Progress” status as soon as work has begun on it.
- The “Completed” category: Statuses in the “Completed” type should be created for all situations which may put an end to a project. A project may be set to completed because all of its tasks have been carried out to completion. The project may also be set to a “Completed” category status simply because a decision was made not to carry it out at all. In order to set a project to completed, all of its tasks have to be set to a “Completed” task status first.
Creating very specific project and task statuses will prove useful when referring to AceProject statistics or generating reports.
